FAMO is no longer in the AIP

Because we as an airfield aren’t compliant with a few ICAO regulations/requirements, FAMO airfield data is no longer captured within the AIP.  This isn’t unique to FAMO.  There are 84 other registered airfields and 88 Helistops which like FAMO, don’t comply  to ICAO requirements/standards.

As a service to the aviation community, SACAA has created an aerodrome/heliport directory within the AIC system.  I’ve researched this and insert a few AIC links below which will assist us all.

I suggest you open & read sequentially:

So the information is still available to us in the aviation community – merely captured “elsewhere".

If there are any omission or errors that catch your eye, please advise.

Kind Regards
